Back in the game...

This afternoon I went to Quest (MS youth group) for the first time since my trip to Germany. My heart quickened seeing the students and catching up with them. We played charades and watched a video about culture and standing out in it. Afterwards just like every week we went to the food court for dinner. It was fun to hear about their Christmas vacations and their first few weeks back at school.
Tonight during dinner, the big discussion was which branch is better, Army, Navy, or Air Force. =) There was a representative from each branch sitting at my table.

Back home in Japan

I got home from Germany Friday afternoon. I slept most of the way home and I think I almost fell asleep even on the layover. But I made it home just in time to come down with a fever, a very sore throat, and cough. The last few days I have been hiding out in my house trying to recover. I am hoping it will go away soon. It is good to be home.

I loved being in Germany but being there I know the Lord has called me here to Okinawa for now. I must admit I was a bit worried that being in Germany would make me "home sick" for it. But coming back here in Japan it feels right. Beside who could complain about sunny, warm weather. =)

Malachi Staff Conf.

The second week January Malachi had a world wide staff conference in Garmisch, Germany. Malachi staff came from USA, Germany, and Japan. It was so much fun to see everyone. We spent time celebrating what God has done in Malachi over the past 20 years and giving honor to those involved. I must say I am proud to be apart of this movement of God. Not because our ministry is greater than any other, its not, its a small piece in the world wide work of God. I love being a small part of it.

I also enjoyed being at this conference for more personal reasons. I got to see my friends and my ever so wonderful fiance, David! In Japan I work with Malachi co-workers but there are only 4 of us here in Okinawa. There are over 30 in Germany. So needless to say, it was fun to reconnect.

David and I got some great time together with some of our Malachi friends too. He even got to go ice climbing in Austria, which he was very excited about. I feel so blessed by this week!
